    can u please tell me anyone, how to install linux on Acer veriton 7700GX system. I tried it but it is not detecting the cd :)

    Which version of linux are you trying to install?
    How are you attempting to install it?

    Make sure the boot order in the BIOS is set to check CD drive before hard drive. Also make sure you burned the iso as a CD copy, not a data disc. And like neosenate asked, what linux distro are you attempting to install?

    you might want to consider getting a newer distribution, as there have been massive strides in compatability and capability in the two-plus years since PCQLinux 2004 was released.
