-
Maybe give MeeGo a shot?
It should support Intel GMA 500. -
I only have access to a mac right now, and I do not how to put an iso onto a usb flash drive, my netbook can only boot up flash drives right now, so, no os is working on my netbook, please help

I agree on the MeeGo suggestion. Jolicloud also because it has drivers designed to support the netbooks and the GMA 500 specifically.
-
can we limit the linux suggestions to whats on osdisc.com click usb on that website also i want a version of linux that runs the fastest which might make it have a smaller filesize run the fastest and has the most features
-
OSDisc.com USB section doesent show up Jolicloud, but its a very good OS for netbooks.
Its UI is customised to use every bit of screen space possible.
Also it was highly praised in Engadget so it cant be all that bad, right?
Look here & here
Also check out the Jolicloud blog for some extra info. -
I used Jolicloud before and it runs very good and stable. Its a little bit weired when you work with it but after a while you get used to it. Simple and easy and layed out for Netbooks. I used it on an EEE PC 901 with HD. But sold it in the end with WIN XP which came with the machine.
currently using MINT runs very good and stable on my EEE PC 1201N -

user is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
After I did the above mac tutorial, what do I do now, after the above error? -
-
ok, so that above tutorial made my flash drive a cd rom, but now when I booted up my flash drive on my netbook, it said, operating system not found, and now I don't know how to delete files off of it, and or make it a regular flash drive, i tried sudo dd if=/Users/DeborahLowdermilk/Desktop/lupu-501.iso of=/dev/disk2

Found this in the comments from the link i gave you.

Sorry i cant help you more, i dont own a Mac. -
I had the same error well problem with all my USB sticks. i ended up using a SD card and worked everytime without errors and always installed the OS ok.
You should be able to format the USB stick to FAT32 with any Operating system. If you have a Linux distro on your Computer you can download the program gparted in the software resource that should take care of it but bare in mind to format the USB stick it needs to be unmounted -
it was unmounted, but my flash drive is still a cdrom
I have a Aspire® One 751h help please
