Can you please try FreeBSD or DesktopBSD and PC-BSD and let us know how it goes.

I hopped a lot of distro's, and it's good ol' Ubuntu with Gnome for me....it all works at the same time, wireless, bluetooth, nvidia, etc. :D Now I need to fine tune some things if possible, and get my tax programs (vertical market windows) running and I shouldn't have to boot into Vista except for gaming.

From what I can tell, PC-BSD is the most advanced and user friendly of the bunch.

I have an ISO of that, but didn't install when I heard someone say on the forum that if you want to use PCBSD you'd better get use to a wired mouse....I was gone. Why don't we just do away with Wireless internet while we're at it? lol My BT mouse isn't going anywhere....works great with Ubuntu.

Well that depends on what you mean by 'advanced'.

I'm sure that just means that it's going to be a pain to configure a wireless mouse or BT. Some ppl run the most taxing programs, and the super stable FreeBSD is tempting in this kind of situation.

Maybe, I sure wanted to check it out...but really was put off by that. Still have the ISO plus the extra apps CD. Ubuntu sure does the job...kudo's to them.
