The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    This guide tells you more than you've ever thought you wanted to know about UNIX process management and inspection :) If you already know what ps, top sleep and kill are and how to use them, it's still got some interesting tidbits in it. It was linked to from Slashdot, but the IBM site here has TONS of useful info on Linux. If you have a free afternoon to just read, even Linux experts like myself (relatively) have a lot to learn from it.
