Hi. The other day I posted (in the acer part of this forum) about installing ubuntu on an acer aspire gemstone blue 6920G, this is the post that says about the problem I have.

From what's said there it looks like I can use wubi on this computer even with the problem I am having located in that link, but i'm still unsure. What do you think?

First of all, Wubi sux....you have a primary left to make an extended partition, and from here all your Ubuntu partition will be extended or logical. You'll install the Grub Boot Loader on hd0, or MBR.
HTH
EDIT: whoops...you've used all 4...I'd get rid of one, but if you want to use Wubi I'm not sure then...others here have used it...not sure how it installs itself other than from within windows. I'd move the stuff on the data partition over if it's big enough for linux. -
I've used wubi on another computer before, everything went smooth for me. The only reason I want to use wubi only because all my boot partitions are taken. I would have used my live CD for install if this was not the case. So, is it safe to use wubi to install ubuntu if all my boot partitions are taken? I really want to use ubuntu on this computer, but need windows to stay here too.
Btw, I found out all partitions was taken when I tried to install the windows 7 beta, it wouldn't install because of this. -

I've freed up 12 GB on drive C, giving me 22.6 GB Free, 10 I was going to give to ubuntu. Thanks for replying by the way.
