I originally posted this in the Lenovo forums, but I am thinking this probably should have been posted here? Am I correct?. Sorry for double posting.

Computer: Lenovo T400 running vista for work and Ubuntu Intrepid for personal. Kernel version 2.6.27-9 generic. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Oh, just wanted to mention that overall the T400 seems to operate much better in linux than in vista.

According to many sources the webcam should work out-of-the-box...With which program are you trying to use it?

I have had limited luck with cheese. picture is very dark and grainy. And then webased via firefox causes the browser to crash.

Now with the firefox crashing, I am starting to think it may be an issue with Flash plugin

Yes, same thing happened with the dark and grainy image with my HP Pavillion webcam. Plus Ubuntu said it was already in use sometimes, even though it's not. But indeed, it should work out of the box for you. :p
