hi!,I am using ubuntu 64 bit edition in my laptop r70 / 009 with the wireless card Intel 4965AGN and I could never use my wifi connection with it. I even tried with the compat wireless drivers ( http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download) and then it can recongnize the networks and connect to one of them but the computer suddenly freezes after a while..
anyone else with this problem??
Also i would like to know if this card can be used with backtrack and the wep hacking tools.

Freezing might be caused by something else. I have the same card and it works fine on 8.04
-
No, I am sure the freezing is related with the wireless device, because only if i turn on wireless and if i use internet it freezes!.
Did you have to install the compat wireless drivers or it just worked when you installed ubuntu 8.04? -
Just worked fine out of the box...

Same here, the card worked OOTB in Kubuntu Hardy x86.
