    Hello,

So, I booted Linux Ubuntu from my CD last night, and it was great. The interwebz went great the first time I ran. Then I had to reboot in XP because I needed to print something off, and Linux wouldn't recognize the hardware. Interwebz still were on. Then when I went back to Linux, the interwebz didn't work. The main thing I noticed was that my router itself wasn't blinking when it should be. There should have been a blinking light under "2". That's where my PC is hooked up. Is it possible that Linux recognized my hardware the first time, but not after I rebooted?

    I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 router.

Aye, that's the first thing I did. It just seems very odd to me that it worked when I first booted it, but it stopped after that.

Is this wired or wireless? And do you know what hardware is in your system with regards to your network card and/or wireless card?

No, I'm connected directly through my router, which is connected to my modem. It just seems that Linux doesn't recognize my interwebz. I've tried messing around with the configurations, and nothing. As I said, it recognized that I was connected on my first boot, and the row of lights was on, but the second and third times it was being stupid.
