My Linux laptop is getting really long in the tooth. Would the Acer TravelMate B113 make a decent platform for Ubuntu 12.04?

It has an Intel Celeron Dual Core B877 processor (1.4 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache) and Mobile IntelĀ® H61 Express Chipset. Looking at the Passmark benchmarks, it looks like this would be faster than my current Intel Core2 Duo T7100.

This laptop supposedly comes with Linux, but the one I saw already had Windows installed, and I am not sure what version of Linux it is supposed to come with. Anyone have any idea.

    Hi ,

I do think it's one of the best machine of the moment as the ratio Linux compatible/CPUPower /price/light , seems unbeatable.

As it's a mobile Sandybridge platforme it's 100% compatible with ubuntu 12.04 including HD 1080p decoding.
