I install it from live CD, my harddrive has been wiped as I loathe windows. Everything seems to work then it asks me to login and the password I set is incorrect. So next I change the boot order to harddrive, it gives me a black screen with a blinking cursor I can't do anything in. From what I've read Alienware is compatable with Linux in general (oh and I'm using AMD64 version), so what can I do to resolve this? Installation couldn't have gone smoother.

Uh, well, don't run Kali. Why are you running it? Do you do penetration testing?
