I have an Ideapad Y400 running Ubuntu 13.10. I have been having a problem where, while I am carrying the laptop, the screen will push one of the keys and wake the laptop up (from suspend). Is there any way to:
Disable the keyboard when the laptop goes to sleep,
Keep the keyboard from waking the laptop, or
Make the laptop go to back to sleep if it is woken while closed?

I heard this was an issue with the Y400 and Y410p. I've only experienced this once, under Windows 8, and it occurs not when the keys hit the screen, but when you forgot to sleep the laptop, and the laptop "cooks" itself (probably inside a bag) to the point where the heat activates the trackpad and performs ghost clicks.
Personally, i have mine equipped with a SSD so I have very little use for sleep mode. This being said, you can configure your distribution to hibernate, which is a decent option, providing you have a swap partition.
As mentioned above, scripting with ACPID would be your best choice.
