I downloaded about 65 more updates today...they're running out of time for final...sometimes, updates come through twice a day. I just wanted to say that this is simply an awesome distribution. I'm having old time linux fun with Slackware on my Asus, but for pure looks and useability, I just don't know how you can beat this. I think they've set a new bar...
Any opines from other users?

Nope, guess I'll have to try it out....

Wow, they're going from the beta to the final release inside a month ?
Methinks thats not enough time to work out the bugs
I dont like this philosophy of rushing things, but then again its based off debian unstable.
How stable is it compared to say debian stable ? -

I was a long time Kubuntu user... So i tried upgrading to 9.04 beta, it all messed a little up, i formatted it up and installed Arch, and am definately not going back!
Anyway, this is a Kubuntu thread. My opinion is that they are going the right way on getting rid of the old Knetworkmanager in exchange of that widget thing. Knetworkmanager was always so troublesome, to me at least.. And if i'm not wrong, it was still rooting on kde3? -

Yeh, from past experiences i have also concluded that clean install is the way to go on *buntu.
However, i think that it should not be. Thats the point on having the upgrade option, in my opinion.
Of course, clean installing once in a while is good, but *buntu actually forces one to do so... -
I should try it, though I like Fedora a lot. Fedora 11 looks nice minus the installer issue(fails). Fedora 10 with KDE 4.2 is nice as well, but I'm running Fedora 10 Gnome.

I usually use Gnome, but I think this time around I'm going to give Kubuntu a try.

Can you set dpi in KDE ? About 3 years ago, it was a bit messy, gnome had a simple option to set dpi
