I'm known around here as a Kubuntu fan-human, but it I'm having BT problems with it....whereas MEPIS 8 is working OTB like a fine watch. Anyone else having Intrepid issues? I'm staying with MEPIS (8!) for the time being, maybe longer.

No, I have installed Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex on 3 notebooks and 1 old laptop in only a few hours.

I had to manually install an Atheros wireless driver from Madwifi, adjust screen size that looked best, and ensure that the sound system was ALSA, but other than that everything worked out of the box right away.

I like Kubuntu Intrepid Ibex more than any other OS I have used. (I have used OS X, Windows XP, 200, 2003, and Vista, Debian, Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubuntu/Mythbuntu).

Kubuntu Ibex is the first one that my whole family will use if given a choice.

At work we have been using Kubuntu Hardy for several months without a single problem, but Hardy isn't as visually appealing and doesn't have the widgets that Intrepid Ibex (with KDE4) has.

When I bought my notebooks, the sales rep said they wouldn't work with Linux. What an idiot. They work fine.
