I'll check it out when it's final, though i'll probably still be sticking with Ubuntu.

Here's a pretty much stock screenshot...I added the clock, removed the digital clock from the taskbar, and added the battery monitor and trashcan applet to the taskbar....it's definitely improved, and should be updating regularly according to Kubuntu page:

The main thing I like about Kubuntu is its shiny logo and shiny icons, but I'm not much of a fan of KDE. If KDE is stable and nice by 8.10 then I'll definitely give it a proper try.

4.1 beta 2 is an improvement, but still needs quite a bit of work.

I heard there was a lot of customization or something left out, i'm not too huge on that but as long as i can get gnome do up and running i don't need the Kmenu.

It has some strange bugs, like for example my E key quit working in the password box, not in any other application, just the password box, until I logged out and back in. Probably by 4.3 or so they'll have it working, my guess.

Hehe, yeah. It is too easy to try new distros. It tests our weak minds.

Mandriva Spring is the only thing that could take me away from Ubuntu :D

Did I mention, I don't even have Mandriva installed at the moment? LOL

Suse 11.0,/Ubuntu 8.04; XP/Mint; Open Geu/Fedora something or other - I don't like this distro. Open GEU simply becomes Ubuntu when upgraded, so that will be deleted soon along with Fedora.

Had both Gentoo and Arch installed, but not really working - each needed a bunch of fiddling still, but they were installed. Found myself in the hospital for a week, and now don't have the patience or stamina to fool with either one. Gentoo is the eventual goal, but may have to have a second tuneup bout with Arch again first. [IMG]

Well, on a serious note, that's what caused the admittance, I think, Zoid. Damn, those distros! But the doctors let me out every other weekend provided I'm supervised, take my meds, and stay away from those distros. :D
