    It'll be interesting to see whether or not more distros roll out based on Arch. Folks seem to love Chakra (though KDE is not for me) and Archbang.

    Thanks for the link. I think it's time I give Mint a try. Ubuntu has been ok but the newest Mint with Cinnamon looks awesome.

    Yes i know, but i really consider debian as main distro, and a great base that others have built off of.
    My point was it just seems like there are a lot of distro's that take ubuntu, add a couple packages and some theme and claim "NEW DISTRO!!".

    Yeah, I'm not sure if many of these projects deserve to be called distros. It might be more helpful if Distrowatch categorized releases so as to distinguish between distributions and spins.

    Nonetheless, I like distrohopping some of these new projects to see what people are up to. It's also convenient to have a distro/spin that installs what you basically want out of the box.

    Lastly, I'm not that excited about Mint 13 because Linux Mint Debian Edition is so rad!
