    Hey fellow brudders... here i would like to request for your help on giving some infos on your user experience for compilation purpose either for my own other users reference. Thanks alot. To keep things simple: just fill in your response to the fields listed below:-

    Hardware specs:- (desktop or laptop or netbook)
    a) Processor:
    b) Ram size:
    c) Harddisk type and size:
    d) Screen size:
    e) Video card type: (dedicated or integrated)

    On the side note: i know that it can be quite unfair as different gears comes with different construction and components, the purpose of this compilation is used to determine in certain ways, how does a Lniux operating system can affect Computer hardware performance. Hope ya' all understand...

    Here we go... let me start first.

    Hardware specs:- LAPTOP/Noteook- DELL Inspiron 1501
    a) Processor: AMD Turion x64 TL-50 dual core, 1.6Ghz
    b) Ram size: 2GB (2x 1GB)
    c) Harddisk type and size: 5400rpm Hitachi 80gb
    d) Screen size: medium, 15.4incher
    e) Video card type: integrated- ATI Radeon Xpress 1150
    f) Operating system: Dual boot: 32bit XP Home with Wubi installed 32bit Ubuntu 8.04.1

    Report details:-
    When i am in Linux session-
    1. I sensed that my power adaptor is noticeably more cooler than XP session during continuous wifi connection web-browsing for 4hrs.
    2. The Harddisk is much more cooler, 45'c to 48'c during Linux, in comparison to 50'c to 54'c during XP.
    3. My battery drains much more faster in XP than in Linux session, marginal difference of 15mins.
