The Fire Snake Notebook Virtuoso
Most people don't look for running Windows programs on Linux, they run Linux/open source equivalent programs that do the same things, if not more.
Examples:
Microsoft Office - OpenOffice
Windows Media Player - Amarok, Rythm box etc
Internet Explorer - Firefox, Opera, Galeon etc
Notepad - gedit
.....and on and on.
As far as games, some people use Wine to run some windows games. It works with some games, not all. -
ahh ok. so im guessing linux wouldnt be a good choice for me?

I'm pretty sure WoW runs on Linux

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=263869 - Read the sticky before you post. There's a link in there called LINUX IS NOT WINDOWS!! =\ Noobs who don't read the stickies....

WOW can be run with with wine
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=14154
but there aren't much programs that work with wine
so .. the only solution is to install virtualbox with windows
but this for progs only .. as it didn't support directx -
I believe Virtualbox now supports 3D.
