    Hello-

Brand new linux user. My laptop shot craps, so I installed linux mint LXDE on an old Dell B110, Celeron 3 ish ghz, 512 ram. (full on mint didn't work with the 512 ram). I do not have a wireless network card. I am attempting to use a D-link 125 N-150 usb adaptor that worked in xp. None of the drivers on the cd are working in linux. I have done some research, and it requires using the command prompt and installing drivers. I have read this, but it is a little bit more complicated than I understand. I know that using the command prompt or terminal is something that is required for linux, but I am a complete newbie.

Alternatively, if there is a pci network card that is compatible right out of the box, I am comfortable installing hardware.
    Thanks.

I should also add that I know that this is a desktop, and I am posting on a laptop forum, but desktop review is like an eerie ghosttown, whereas I have been following the linux community on here for quite some time.
