    Hi Guys!

I bought a Compal JAX10 MID from the NBR Market, and it had XP installed. I'm trying to get it back to Linux.

Basically, I''m wondering what the best version of Linux would be for it? I can't seem to find the original midlinux restore ISO.

    Thanks!

    Android?

On something like that I'd try to have the original OS available. Maybe you can find someone on a different forum that would be willing to p2p you the midlinux .iso?

I downloaded midlinux 2, I just can't get the JAX to boot it.

What's the issue? Is the .iso without an installer or is a bios setting preventing you from booting the .iso? I'm not sure if you can use unetbootin in this case.

I found a specially made Ubuntu MID, made a bootable USB stick with it, and was able to install it on my JAX! Unfortunately, after install it goes has a flashing dash in the corner of the screen. I pressed the Shift key and it says, "Grub Loading" and stays there.

    I found a link to Midlinux, but it's very slow @ 7KB/s.

Running SFR M! Linux, install was in French, but you can change it to English after the install.

Good idea, I will in the OP :)

The only problem is that some of the keys aren't mapped correctly.

I'm installing MIDLinux 2 right now, then 2.3, and Fedora 13 Moblin.
