This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Holy mother of god! :eek: They've done it! They've booted Linux on Treo 650 (which happens to be the very cellphone I own). :D See the following stories:

    Judging by the second story, it seems mytreo.net is a little late to report the story (and I'm a little late too). Anyway, time to rejoice! From what I understand they've been booting Linux on LifeDrive and Palm TX but those are not devices that most people buy. Most people that get Palm nowadays get Palm Treos. So this is a very significant step towards making Linux on Palm a possibility at least for the majority of Palm users.

    Man, I'm soooo looking forward to using a Linux phone!
