I AM HAPPY TO SAY ITS SOLVED BY USING BOOTREC COMMANDS BUT ALSO SAD THAT MY SOUND IS NOT WORKING IN VISTA. I HAVE SIGMATEL CARD THATS WORKING BUT THE DRIVERS ARE NOT. THTS THE MAIN REASON I SWITCHED TO FEDORA.

BUT AFTER KICKING VISTA ON AGAIN I CANNOT BOOT INTO FEDORA (SAAAAAAD) ANY SOLUTION FOR THAT.

I recently installed Fedora 9 on my internal HDD. I selected install on default linux partitions or something. Then it installed. Booting into Fedora 9 is working fine but when it comes to Fedora 9 bootloader it doesnt show Vista. I then select other :
" BootMGR not found" press ctrl+alt+del to reboot.
Ok I then I sticked the Vista install CD in selected repair start-up : no problems were found. Ok I looked up on web and found some solutions. Opened up the commandprompt and wrote :
    bootrec /fixbr
    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /rebuildcd
    exit

Unfortunately it guess what *didnt work*.
Ok just made sure the vista OS partition and the Recovery partition is still there.
I selected Load drivers and there it was everything but I couldnt boot.
When i go to Fedora it shows the OS partiotion and Recovery partition but doesnt let me open it and in properities everyhting is unkown. I select mount volume but still nothing.
Its very strange I'd like to get my files back somehow ???

Yeah dont forget I am on linux now so no windows programs, maybe EasyBCD liveCD could help. Maybe

Update: after update of the OS i can access OS part. phuuuw

I moved this to the Linux forum, where I think you're more likely to get what you need.

I am not sure I understand. Can you now boot into Vista?
If I remember correctly with Fedora if you hit any key on the 1st boot message a 2nd boot menu will open. If you select "other" it will boot into the originaly installed OS (Vista).
    Good luck.

Did you try hitting any button during the message and then chose "other" in the 2nd menu?
