Last night I set my user name and password. When I started up this morning Mint wouldn't take the user name and password. It gives me no options on other ways to log in or reset my log in info. How can I recover/reset my log in or get into Mint and try again from there?TIA

You can boot from removable media and chroot and then change the password, or you could just boot the kernel in single-user (root only) mode, and reset the user password: http://www.watchingthenet.com/ubunt...your-password-when-you-have-forgotten-it.html

From there you should be able to run sudo su and then passwd yourusername to change your user password.

When I booted Mint this is what I got and I have no keyboard functionality.Nothing else happened after that. It's all I get when I boot Mint.

I'm starting to think I need to wipe this FD and start over.
