I logged in today at work after being gone for the weekend and my Places, System, Quit, etc menus and buttons were all missing from my top panel. I'm running Firefox right now from the terminal.

How do I get back my menus? I put the quit button back up there by using "add to panel"(though it's to the left of the time now instead of to the right) but I can't figure out how to get my other stuff back up there. Until I can figure it out, I'm downloading the KDE desktop so at least I can have access to my administration and printers.

    Any help is much appreciated.

You can get back your menus the same way you did for the Quit button just scroll down the (Add to Panel) window in the bottom you have (Menu Bar).
right-click any item you want to move and select move; be sure to uncheck (Lock to Panel).
to add any new app. say Firefox: Applications>Internet> right-click (Firefox) and (Add this luncher to Panel).
