    Hi
I am using MPlayer on OpenSuse 11.1 and was wondering if there's a way to control playback using the play/pause/forward/rewind/stop controls on my Inspiron 1520 laptop. They work well with Windows Media Player so getting them to work on MPlayer would be quite helpful.
    Thanks
    Ishan

Try using something like smplayer as a frontend for mplayer and it should just work. The "plain" mplayer will take a lot of work to get that working, and possibly some hacking.
