I have a Dell Inspiron6400 running Windows vista.
I got a dvd of Mandriva2007 from my friend and tried to install, but after booting to the dvd, it says "could not mount compressed loopback" and exits from the installation. What do i do now?
The error is encountered after i press 'installation', the kernel loads, and it tries to mount the files on to the memory.
    Please help guys
    thanks

Thanks for leading me to the link.
Even there nobody seems to know. Someone has already posted about it and has no reply. Its not a dell issue, because he has toshiba laptop. a 'laptop' issue? no idea.
