He has quite a fleet. Just read this at Digg. I don't get the three laptops if he is using them all currently. He also has overclocked.

This is his listed software. At least Ubuntu will be offered if they do start offering Linux to everyone.

He uses my laptop! Of course, I don't have 4GB of RAM or a Quadro FX 3500M... but we all don't own Dell.

I also find it funny that he doesn't mention how much memory he uses in the Precision 690. I would dare to guess that it's more than the 4GB of his other computers, especially since it's running x64.

Such nice hardware (M90) for a OS that doesn't need it.

Hmm, it looks like he could have upgraded recently. The machines are now listed to be running Vista Ultimate.

As rich as Dell is, I bet he has a Mac too. But of course he never publicly admit that. lol

Hey now, there are a lot of things that you can do with the power. Quake 4 and Doom 3 run quite nicely under Linux, and there are other CAD programs for Linux that could use the power. But overall, yes, it is quite overkill. Which is why my next machine will be nowhere near this one in graphical power. Processor will probably be better though.

I don't see why not. He has made no secret of the fact that he would love to put OS X on Dell machines. Dell even put up a driver section for OS X sometime last year, though I don't believe it's there anymore. I don't think there was really anything in there anyway.

No, I didn't. But it's really straightforward. All the hardware except for the media card reader is detected and working automatically, and I'm too busy/lazy right now to get the media card reader working, especially since I only have one Memory Stick to use it with. I can post one if you would like though. The media buttons only work with certain applications btw, although the front volume buttons always work.
