This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Wow! I just downloaded the RC LiveCD to take on a trip with an older laptop 3 days ago, (Though, I used BackTrack 4 Final most of the time), and they're already out with the final version. Nice job, Mint Team!~

    The RC reached final about 3 days after release -everything after that was testing. I've been running the RC and have a modified version on my family's desktop - newly converted from Windows, they love it :)

    I'll have to check it out again. Tried it about a year ago, but didnt care for the overly simplified looking menus.

    I really like the community edition of mint based on xfce because it is a much lighter and snappier alternative to xubuntu.
