Just wondered if anyone has been successful with this pairing.

The big Mint thread doesn't mention the M1330 and the M1330 thread doesn't mention Mint :)

I love Mint on my PC at work ( Daryna ), and the M1330 is top of my list of prospective laptops, so just want to make sure there are no show stoppers to be aware of.

I have also checked the Mint forums, with no luck.

    Cheers,

    nwpsys

Ubuntu works just fine on the XPS M1330, and Linux Mint is pretty much a modded Ubuntu, so Linux Mint should work on the M1330 w/o any issues.

I would help...but I don't know what Mint is, is it an OS or something?
Oh, of course, it says that in what the forum is about....
I have no idea, but you might try to find if Mint has drivers for it (assuming that mint is an OS)

nwpsys: I'm running it on my m1330. No problems at all, except that I lost sound once. A restart solved it though. Wireless networking worked out of the box! Loving it!

nwpsys: Haven't tried. I am not really in to IM or skype so I haven't bothered getting it to work.

No probs. I took the plunge yesterday and ordered my M1330.

If I get the webcam working, I will post back here and let folks know.
