Supposedly the 64bit Linux is ok with the 32bit EFI but the same issue of no hardware support. No mouse, touch screen, speakers or wifi. The keyboard works fine. It is a shame there is not more support for these Bay Trail devices, they seem perfectly suited for Linux.

Still playing with different distributions etc. trying to get a full boot. so far this is very preliminary but it is further than I have seen most others get with Bay Trail and the 32bit UEFI..

fwiw, PCLinuxOS has always had very good hardware support.

I wouldn't do the full monty, it's like a super bloat version. Even the standard editions come with more than enough software. They used to have mini editions that were just base software installed.

Problem with both is it just goes to the command line in grub not to a menu. So I will play with them later.

Distro support of 32-bit UEFI on 64 bit hardware is pretty lacking. When I had those machines to tinker with I just built Grub from source and kept the binaries on a thumb drive. Even with it fully installed, half the EFI implementations are broken and require renaming the .efi to something M$ hard-coded.
