    No wireless

    After i installed ubuntu, My wifi dosent seem to be working? what can i do to fix this?

    Have you already checked the Hardware Driver to make sure if you need restricted drivers, that you're using them? System > Administration > Hardware Drivers, or if you use the Main Menu instead of Menu Bar, Ubuntu logo > System > Administration > Hardware Drivers.

    Well my laptop is a gatway m1617, when i checked the hardware drivers their where no drivers for my wifi all i see a driver for my ati card, im not sure what the name of my card is but im not its intergrated.

    It's a complicated process but if you read this post from the Ubuntu user forums, and then this one, you should be able to get your wireless working.
