Hello...
I have a sony vaio laptop with a non original battery...
I can work with my computer, but when i shut it down and try to power up it again I have to unplug the battery and plug the ac power adapter so i can power it up correctly!
Another thing is that the battery light blinks everytime, when battery is connected..
I read that this is a problem with Sony programs running in the background, but so far i haven't found a solution to this problem in ubuntu...
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Sounds like a hardware problem to me. In other words, the problem is not Ubuntu.
If you think the problem is Ubuntu, can you explain how you infer that? -
I don't know how to explain the problem...
But i've read that the problem exist in windows too, and can be solved by deleting some Sony files...
I've read the windows issue in this thread

hope, there's a similar solution in ubuntu
