    Open SUSE 10.3 Video Driver Probelm

    I download and installed the Latest Driver from Nvidia.com , using the Normal method but now my X server is not starting :( its says it can't find NVidia Module

    About an hour ago I installed the drivers for 10.3 starting here and then just following the on-screen instructions. All turned out well, and the screen looks great.

    Not sure what you mean by Normal method; I used Option 1.

    it sound like module is not loaded

    do cat /proc/modules

    is nvidia listed they?

    do modprobe nvidia

    also you might want check x.org config file?

    am not sure on suse speficly but shound apply to most distro try edit config file make sure it use the drive name nvidia not nv winch is normaly stock x driver

    not sure if they apply you can problay use yast of sax to reconfigure xserver get load then try reinstall driver I think Sax2 or Yast is config tool for suse?

    Thanks andyasselin bro for the hint , i just run the .run package from the nvidia site and it works fine ;)
