Hey i have a hp dv6110us to be exact. I installed OpenSuse and it worked for me but the only problem was that i could not access the internet or anything for that matter, because the driver for the wireless card was not there. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this because i have looked for a driver, or if there is a new version out.

What is your wireless card so we don't have to go look up your machine?
If it's a 4965 Ubuntu will work right out of the box. Post some specs.

It's probably a broadcom card which HP likes to use. They have poor Linux support. You can try something like NDISwrapper to see if you can get it work.

This post seems to indicate that your wireless card is the Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-PCI Card . You'll read there that you can use either NDISwrapper or the b43 Berlios native Linux drivers for your the Broadcom card. Checking out the OpenSUSE forums give you a couple of information resources for how to install NDISwrapper on openSUSE, or the b43 drivers for openSUSE.
Good Luck.. -
