Preferences > Advanced tab > Content > tick Enable Java

    Does that work?

And do you have the java stuff installed? like Iced Tea or something?

I've just noticed that Opera's dialog boxes for saving downloaded files from the internet are really ugly. Like windows 3.1 ugly

And the stuff in the Menu bar as well, ie, File, Edit, View, etc

I've updated to Opera 10 Alpha....now it just hangs in Facebook...they are aware of the facebook problem on their site, and hopefully I'll get a fix soon as I like this browser.

I've just been trying out Widgets, but some of them just show a grey box. One example is the Basketball widget. Do you have that problem too? Or is there a specific dependency that I'm missing?
