the 'upload photo' java script in Facebook is killing the browser....anyone know a fix? It's fine in FF. I'm using Mint KDE 4.2 btw. thx
EDIT: I'm using Opera 9.64
-
Preferences > Advanced tab > Content > tick Enable Java
Does that work?
And do you have the java stuff installed? like Iced Tea or something? -
I've just noticed that Opera's dialog boxes for saving downloaded files from the internet are really ugly. Like windows 3.1 ugly
And the stuff in the Menu bar as well, ie, File, Edit, View, etc -
-
I don't have facebook, so I won't know how to help. Try other java applets?
-
I alway use the 'old uploader' and I use facebook in firefox not opera.
-
-
What's the old uploader? I'm new to Facebook....only on there because of relatives there....got pressured into it
-
I've updated to Opera 10 Alpha....now it just hangs in Facebook...they are aware of the facebook problem on their site, and hopefully I'll get a fix soon as I like this browser.
-
i like this browser too. Though with alpha, your chances of success are minimal
-
I've got Mint Xfce now....reinstalling Opera...actually Flock is a great browser for linux.....no facebook problem there
-
I've just been trying out Widgets, but some of them just show a grey box. One example is the Basketball widget. Do you have that problem too? Or is there a specific dependency that I'm missing?
-
Facebook problem solved. I'm running Opera in Mint Xfce 6 and it's working fine now...looks fantastic, works fantastic....dunno
Opera problem
