I have tried to date over 30+ Linux Distros and thus far this one is my favorite....between feeling like OSX...having the Ubuntu software center and having flashy animations effects while using low system resources...i suggest anyone and everyone give it a try.

One note Pear OS7 requires a 64 bit processor Pear OS6 is fine with 32 bit and the upcoming 8 will also be 32 bit compatable.

Currently my old Pentium 4 beast (in signature) Runs it faster than many modern machines do Windows 7

I've read about Pear OS, looks interesting but the fact that it tries to look like OS X is somewhat off putting.

I'm gonna stick with Debian/Fedora/Xubuntu, I'd rather to use something that has been tested and proven.

I'll probably install it on a relative's computer if it makes it easier for them to open a web browser.

I'm using Mint Cinnamon and I'm not contemplating to move, but I'll install it on a virtual machine to check it out, thanks for the tip!

I had mint Cinnamon on a few of my machines for awhile great OS! This just feels a bit snappier and i prefer the look.

As per proven Pear OS is based upon Ubuntu 12.04 LTS so it's definitely stable.

Been running it about a week so far and it definitely feels snappier then most OS's while keeping visual flare. I will however note any problems should they arise. Only thing i had to fix thus far was the same thing iv'e had to in many Distros was the Broadcom wireless issue which is an easy fix.

Oh it's not trying to HIDE the fact it's an OSX clone Rodster, i just find it to be a superior iteration their of since i don't need the most over priced computers on planet earth to run it. Iv'e always liked OSX as a software and Linux...i just don't like The fact OSX is tied to such drug induced pricing levels. So this satisfies my like of Osx and of LInux at the same time.
