The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Pinta: Paint.NET clone for linux

    I'm using a substitute for Gimp called Pinta. It was in the openSUSE build service, but it's also in the Ubuntu repo's I know.

    Pretty nice program for those that are unaware of it.

    It runs on Mono Libraries for those with philosophical problems with it :cool: But, that's OK with me. ;)

    I felt left handed with GIMP....now, gimp seems easier after Pinta....I'll keep working on it....lol

    mmm..Pinta is to simple for me...
    yea keep workin on gimp.. :D..it gets easier..and u can always find some nice tuts :)

    Sometimes Gimp is too much and Kolourpaint is too less. This one seems to fill the gap :)

    It is also (obviously!) on the AUR for Arch users. (and if it wasn't, I was just about to put it there :D)
