This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I guess the question is whether Dell will actually offer Ubuntu 10.10 on the new E5420/E5520 and the E6220/E6320/E6420/E6520? Apparently it's being shown in promotional material, but Dell pulled the same stunt last year with the E6410/E6510. The E6410 and E6510 are even shown as a "Ubuntu Certified," and Dell seems to have prepared a disk image with proprietary drivers which it never released to public.
