Anyone know how to attach a preview pic to a file icon in Lucid? Thanks for any help.

Right-click on file in Nautilus; select Properties; click on the icon in the Basic tab (this will usually be the default icon) which opens a dialog window; in the dialog window, navigate to the location of your custom icon and select Open.

Or if you want to turn on file previews in general, under Gnome's Nautilus, it's Preview Preferences under System -> Preferences -> File Management, and under KDE's Dolphin file manager it's controlled by the Previews pane settings of the General Options, under Dolphin Settings.

    Good Luck..

Thanks Jasper. That did the trick. Now I got to do all the icons, ugh. I did notice the ones I attach are much smaller. Is there a way to fix that? All the preview images are the same size.
