A quick Google search yields the following info: Pro/E Wildfire 3 did have Linux support, but that support has since been dropped by Wildfire 4. Sun's Solaris, however, is fully supported, which makes sense since the app was originally for UNIX. Why PTC decided to drop Linux, I don't know.

Well, at least that's the data I got from the first two results of a short Googling session, so it may or may not be exact. You may want to do a quick search yourself for verification. ;)

P.S. I ran across a snippet that had something about Pro/E in Solaris 10 outperforming Pro/E in Linux, but I didn't follow it up.

Sorry for that. Googling didn't come to mind. I tried the PTC website. What about Wildfire 3, how do I obtain it?

    Right.

How's the performance as compared to running it in Windows? I have an XP SP3 partition as well.
