So I have two PCMCIA cards for wireless access on my older laptop (that I now have solely Ubuntu on).

Both seem to register okay, both show networks, however the "better" card (Hawking G card, rather than Linksys B card) refuses to show any signal, it sees the networks, but the signal strength shown is always 0.

The other card shows strength, but as soon as I disable broadcasting the SSID from the hub I can't connect, is this normal? Both seem a bit weird and are INCREDIBLY annoying.
