Hello. I am using a website to help me with my mathematics and it uses HotEqn to display the mathematical formulas. My Lucid Lynx is not able to display the information provided by HotEqn. I've done a little reading and it appears that I'd have to install a HUGE file provided by LaTeX to use HotEqn on my linux OS. IIRC it was like a 1gb file!
I'm only using the HotEqn in browser so I'm wondering if there is some way to get a plug-in instead of installing a huge file??? TIA.

If you want to generate a PDF from an online LaTex web editor, try ScribTeX:

Thanks. I appreciate the response. I'll keep ScribTex in mind. In the meantime I'll keep looking and perhaps someone else will post another possible solution. The website if anyone is curious is called "visual calculus." I use it for the drill exercises. I'm not very math-oriented but I'm willing to study and practice in order to get to that last mathematics requirement I need to fulfill my major! I do attend a calculus I course at my university but I have found the website drills w/solutions are a tremendous help as a supplement to my class lectures. Hopefully by this time next year my fluency in mathematics will be markedly improved. Now if only I could get Linux to display the HotEqn equations like firefox in W7 does! That would make this woman happy and less stressed
