    Okay I've shrinked 30GB.
What happens if I reboot vista, install ubuntu via cd(clicking F9 when the boot stuff appears..) and then restart my computer? Does it load automatically vista or ubuntu or do I need to select from the boot menu which one I want to boot?

By default it will start Ubuntu, but you can easily change that.

What happens if I hit F9(just few seconds after turning my laptop on)? Will it let me choose between ubuntu and vista?
    And one more question:
Do I need to leave the shrinked space unallocated?

The shrinked space would be formatted with a Linux filesystem, and no, pressing F9 wouldn't let you choose between Windows or Linux. But, right after the power on tests, the Linux bootloader will pop up, and allow you to pick either Linux or Windows.
