How would I go about getting a USB lynksys wireless device to be recognized by xubuntu? The wireless device is called Lynksys WUSB 11 Version 2.5

Give us the device name, you should be able to use NDISwrapper to get it working, i suggest you hook up to an ethernet cable and download NDISwrapper with ndisgtk and then open up ndisgtk and select the .inf file for your adapter (use the CD) and you'll be fine.
