Okidoki. I've gotten most of my Linux stuff up and running, have mounted my windows drive, etc. The thing is, I can view my windows files but I can't write to them. I'd really prefer if I didn't have to copy everything to my Linux partition.

does anyone know what I can do to access my windows files? I've tried logging in as root, changing the owner, sharing them through windows, making them not read only ACK!!!

does anyone know what to do?

Thanks for any help you can give me,

    A very confused coda :D

Is the Windows partition in NTFS format? Or FAT32? If FAT32, Linux should have proper read/write access to them. However, if it is NTFS format, you should research NTFS-3G for read/write access.

@darthc0da - I believe that native NTFS mouting/read-write support is coming for Feisty Fawn this April (Ubuntu 7.04).
