This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I think that this is a great idea and I really want to try it but I don't know anything about linux. :confused:

    I have been using ubuntu UE 2.8 which is a jazzed up ubuntu 10.10. I like it, but other than very basic stuff (things you can do with a mouse) I fall short. With Windows I'm great but this aint windows.

    The thread died a while ago but I though I would ask you guys if it would work with 10.10 and how to make that work.

    I have a Toshiba m700 4GB ram and a dual boot with win 7
