Anyone know what would be the best thumb drive to boot linux from? I am wanting a thumb drive I can fire up backtrack or unbuntu from and have decent performance on USB 2.0 ports.

I tried some of the flash drives I had around the house and the performance was less than stellar... I am assuming if I buy a faster flash drive the speed increase would be well worth it.

    Thanks ahead of time :D

A better, faster and more elegant choice might be to use a class 6 sd card instead. For an install, you'll probably want something in the 4-8 gb range.

Provided computer can boot from SD card, seconded!

Much nicer than having a thumbdrive sticking out of the back.
