I have a Toshiba EX/2515LDSTW Laptop from Japan, which originally had Japanese XP Home OS and could play CDs, DVDs, and TV without booting/starting Windows. When The HDD failed last month, I replaced the HDD myself, installed XP Home English, and tried to use the QuickPlay recovery disk which came with the PC, but it's a No-Go. Toshiba won't help unless I send in the pc to serviced...at quite a cost just to reinstall the original OS/software package which I don't want.
My question is : How can I install QuickPlay(from HP?) myself? Is this possible ? I'm essentially just a PC user, not and engineer. Help please!![]()

Thanks for that link, but I've seen it before, and it didn't help me. Do I have to install Linux? Or what do I have to do?
