I was dual-booting Windows Xp and Ubuntu and have decided that I want to use solely Ubuntu. My question is how do I resize my partition? Do I need any programs? thanks in advance

use gparted. You can find it in the ubuntu liveCD.
Boot the computer with Ubuntu, then look for gparted in the menu, delete the windows partition, and extend the Ubuntu one, and voila! -
Thanks! ;]
