Got Arch running now on my M11x R1. Got everything working accept for the wifi. There seems to be a bug with my broadcomm card which will cause the pc to freeze when you enable it to scan for hotspots. Solution is to edit a file and change the number of preocessor from 2 to 1. Supposely it gets fix on the new arch kernel coming out of 2.6.38. Right now I am on 2.6.37.
I might do what allurgroceries and buy the Atheros AR5008 also.
So far from Ubuntu user to an Arch these are my opinion.
Ubuntu much easier to install, but more work to maintain.
Arch, harder to install but easier to maintain.
I am enjoying arch quite a bit I will probably make it my main distro now.

Good to see you around joeelmex.
Broadcom wifi is often buggy. The newer brcm80211 driver was pretty decent for me but it does still have quirks. Nothing near the problems the broadcom sta driver had though, which often locked up the whole system.
I haven't gotten the atheros card yet, but it's on its way. I'll definitely report back when it's installed.
Congrats on graduating from Ubuntu! -
Hello old friend, yes I have come a long way since the last time we have spoken. Hey I will keep tabs on your lick with the atheros card. Glad I still have a friend here.
