    Hi All,

I have a S3 Inc. SuperSavage IX/C SDR (rev 05) on my Toshiba Tecra T9100 running Ubuntu 7.04 and I have been told in a previous thread that there may be no Beryl-compatible driver for S3 cards.

What options do I have, if any ???

    Thanks

    Lightfoot

You don't really... S3's aren't a very well supported graphics chip period. You need certain OpenGL extensions that S3's drivers do not support. As far as I can tell, your only option would be to get a new notebook if you want to use Beryl.

It won't work without proper drivers, as we discussed above. S3 chips aren't supported enough to make the desktop effects work.
